What Is AccessCare?
AccessCare lets you connect with your doctor through easy-to-use, high-resolution, secure 2-way video conferencing for quick, convenient treatment.
What can you treat?
Great question! AccessCare doctors can provide treatment for acute conditions such as sore throat, upper respiratory infections, rash, poison oak, conjunctivitis, allergies, flu and more. Additionally, we can assist with management of chronic issues such as mild depression, diabetes, high cholesterol and low thyroid disorders (with laboratory results). Medications can be prescribed after the video chat is concluded, and sent to a pharmacy of your choosing.
How much does it cost?
Receiving high-quality medical treatment is much more affordable than you would ever think! We charge only for the doctors' time, which is billed in 20-minute increments at $69 per session. No hidden costs, no extra fees. It's really that simple. Check back regularly for specials and discounts.
Can you refill my prescription?
Yes! If you are traveling or can't get in to see your primary care physician to have your prescription refilled, our doctors can help! There are a few limitations however, in order to keep the safety and health of our clients a number one priority. We do not refill or prescribe opioids, medical marijuana or other controlled substances for anxiety or sleep disorders.
How can my doctor treat me without a physician exam?
Your medical provider actually doesn’t need to do a physical exam to diagnose and treat many conditions. That’s because knowing your medical history is considered “90% of the evaluation” when combined with the doctor-patient interaction. How you’re feeling can be just as important to your doctor as the results of a physical exam. Plus, being able to see you and view any picture uploads via the app gives your doctor the additional visual information needed to make a diagnosis.
How does it work?
It’s easy! If you’re a new user, the first thing you’ll do is create an account. Then, you’ll answer a few questions about your condition and click the “request eVisit” button at your scheduled appointment time. Your medical provider will receive your request, and let you know when they’ll be ready to see you. Once you accept the visit, you’ll be connected to your doctor via 2-way video from your computer or smartphone within your e-visit account for strict confidentiality. Your doctor will interact with you, answer your questions, and, if needed, send a prescription to your preferred pharmacy.
Why do patients use AccessCare?
Patients use AccessCare to connect with their medical provider for quick treatment and requests, such as prescription refills, a follow-up appointment, an answer to a health question, or urgent treatment for minor medical issues.
What if you can't help me?
To see a list of conditions we can treat, please see our FAQ, "What can you treat?". If you consult with one of our doctors and it is determined that no treatment is necessary, you have the peace of mind of knowing a professional diagnosed your condition. If, on the other hand, the doctor determines your best course of action is to go directly to the E.R., our doctor can call ahead to the E.R. of your choice and provide them with critical, time-saving information to expedite the process once you arrive.
